TweakerRay Played this over and over on multiplayer with a link cable on 2 psx with two tv (4:3) hooked against each other... we had to play with headphones because we knew from the sounds of the opposite tv where the other player would be on the map... :-) Thanks for this cool soundtrack. Happy to finally have more than just the few tracks on the ps1 disc... Cheers Favorite track: Doom Playstation: Main Theme.

losra My favourite song, brings back the memories to the PlayStation 2 era and I loved every moment of it. Out of the games I had, Doom was the only game I played 24/7 and it was a pleasure to listen to this awesome soundtrack!! Favorite track: Doom Playstation: Main Theme.

kovachikfan "Corrupted (Level - Deimos Lab)" is one of the best soundtrack pieces I've ever heard in my entire life, and is part of one of the best video game soundtracks I've ever heard. It's a soundscape from Hell, almost as if a giant demon is out howling at my soul from the horizon. Favorite track: Corrupted (Level - Deimos Lab).

about

The Sony PlayStation version of Doom was a conversion of Doom and Doom II by Williams Entertainment. It was released on November 16, 1995 and is still considered one of the most unique versions of Doom to this day.

While the original Doom on the PC used a midi rock soundtrack this version is largely comprised of dark ambient soundscapes designed to enhance the suspense of the levels. The result is a dark and brooding score that combined with the imagery of the levels serves to unnerve and rattle the player. The audio and visuals work together to really define the hellish nightmare that is the world of Doom.
